Surfing in Fuerteventura

SURFING IN FUERTEVENTURA
Hello surfers!
This is the usual update from the magic island of Fuerteventura.
Without any doubt this is the season we prefer!
We had a great summer, many boys and girls visited the Home Grown surf school from all over the world, for some of them was the forst experience on a surf board for  many others was a more experienced surf trip, giving the first try on the reef break of the north shore.
Now that the summer is over, it’s time for the bigger winter swell! Since the beginning of september the we had almost everyday good waves, many days have been glassy and just perfect. So far was the best autumn i’ve experienced!
When we say “winter” forget the snow&ice…in Fuerteventura winter means 25°C during the day and around 18 during  the night!
So, if you wanna experience the real endless summer come and visit us!

SUMMER TIME IN FUERTEVENTURA!

Hello Surfers,
it's more than midnight here in Corralejo and a nice breeze is blowing outside. Tomorrow is going to be  another great day like today: off shore on the north coast and glassy on the east coast! We can't wait!
In the past few weeks we have surfed mostly the east coast from Flag Beach going down to Puerto del Rosario. The strong wind swell that hit our coasts made all the spots perfect for both beginner that could practice on the white water and for the intermediate that could try to catch green wavse on the line up!

For the next few days the forecast makes us well hope for more days of good surf on our beautiful beaches!!
We'll keep you posted!!

Surf and Photo in Fuerteventura!!

Hola Everybody!!

Some news here at the Home Grown Surf School in Fuerteventura!
Besides teaching how to catch waves, day after day, we have some new ideas for your surf holiday in Fuerteventura.

It's called Surf&Photo!!
The idea it's very simple: every morning you go surfing to the best beach for your level and every afternoon you can go shooting some of the best locations and the most wonderful sightseeings of Fuerteventura with the help and tips of two professional photographers.
 (Mauro Ladu and Emanuele Reguzzoni)
The project in collaboration with the guy of Photo Canarias has the aim to combine surfing and the exploration of our beautiful island!

Depending on the light and weather conditions we will bring you shooting breathtaking sunsets, volcanic lunar landscapes, red mountains meeting blue lagoon and all the beutiful sightseeings that make Fuerteventura a unique place in the world. (Fuerteventura has been declared a Biosphere Reserve by Unesco in 2009).
The photo course is offered from beginner to experienced photographer and provides elements on the following subjects:

  • the principles associated with light, lenses and cameras
  • how to create a good composition in photography
  • shooting techniques (landscapes, travel, action and portraits)
  • image processing

Fell free to get in touch for any informations!

Summer is coming soon...the surf camp is receiving the first bookings so if you want to come to surf with Home Grown now it's the time!

The Homegrowners!

Hello everybody!
Sorry for not updating the blog in the last weeks but we have been very busy in doing what we like the most: surfing!
Winter is time for big waves on the north shore and clean and nice wave on the east coast...so basically everybody enjoyed nice session under the sunny sky of Fuerteventura.

The cold European winter made lots of surfers escape from ice and snow to recover and warm up on our beaches so the surf school and surf camp have been pretty busy!

As usually i'm better in taking pictures than writing..so have a look at some new one..
Stay tuned!
